Best Outfits in Terraria

One of the great things about Terraria is the ability to customize your character!

There are dozens of unique armors, vanity items, hats, and items to collect, so are practically an infinite amount of ways to distinguish yourself!

Because of all these possibilities, there is sure to be a few sets that stand above the rest, right?

After searching and comparing various different outfits, I have found what I think are the top 3 outfits to flex on your friends with!

These outfits are in the top three for multiple reasons, such as price, accessibility, and uniqueness!

With that in mind, here are the best outfits in Terraria!

Let’s dive right in!

#3: The Timeless Traveler

Timeless Traveler Outfit in Terraria

If you’re looking for an outfit that is both eerie, and the incarnation of death, then this outfit is the one for you!

What makes this set unique from the rest is it’s ability to stand out, even with such simple colours.

The bright flames really make the otherwise dull costume “pop”, which offers a lot of the outfit’s vibrancy!

Furthermore, the outfit is really cheap!

There is a catch, however. A few of the materials may be tedious to get.

The black ink is a good example, since you acquire from squids in the ocean biome (either edge of the world).

Here is the crafting recipes for each piece:

To keep it brief:

  • You make silk from cobwebs using a loom (7 webs per silk)
  • Bones are obtained from certain skeleton enemies in the dungeon (after defeating skeletron).
  • Rotten chunks are dropped by Eater of Souls, Corruptors, and Devourers, which all come from the corruption biome.
  • Black ink: stated earlier.

With that in mind, this outfit remains a strong starting outfit that can easily impress your friends (just don’t let them copy you).

#2: Capricorn

This skin is one of my personal favourites.

Maybe it’s the clean design, or the God complex it gives you. Maybe both.

Anyways, this outfit is also super easy to get!

Like the previous outfit, this one may also prove a little tedious to get:

You will need:

  • Fallen stars, which…. Have fallen from the sky.
  • Silver dye, which you purchase from the dye trader. The dye trader appears once you collect a dye related item.
  • Silk (How to obtain is stated previously)
  • Coral, which can be found on the ocean floor.

Like with the Timeless Traveler outfit, this one also requires a trip to the ocean.

Yet, that trip will be well worth it.

The Capricorn outfit is just that good.

Now, onto the final outfit!

#1: Plaguebringer

The Plaguebringer.

This outfit is the first one I made in Terraria 1.4.

Because of that (and because it’s awesome), it is on the top of my list for the best outfits in Terraria!

So, why should you make this outfit?

Well, to start:

  • People will revere you,
  • People will fear you
  • Your friends will ask how you got it (so link this post!).

Now, here’s how you make it.

You need:

  • Bones,
  • Silk
  • Black dye
  • Vertebra, which you obtain from various enemies in the Crimson, such as Crimera, Blood Crawlers, and Face Monsters.

And those are the best outfits in Terraria!

It took around an hour to collect all 3 outfits, given that I had endgame wings to make traveling easier.

If you are just starting out in a world, I estimate that it would take around 30 minutes to fully craft each outfit. Thus, I recommend picking only one outfit to start, then you can complete the rest if you wish.

That being said…
